newspaper shoot

A few months back, at the beginning of the school year, my school news paper asked me to be in a fashion shoot. The concept was different looks every girl can use, i.e.; date night, casual weekend look, school, etc. So for this feature i pulled/styled the looks and modeled them. Oh! and i almost forgot! All of the different looks had to incorporate the same little black dress from forever21, that retailed for about $22.

Look 1: Girl's Night Out:
I love this one. the flower/feathered hair piece in a vivacious red, with an equally stunning lip, the side swept, curly hair-pulled into a loose chignon. loved the patterned yellow clutch. And the heals from H&M are probably THE most comfortable heels on the planet. Seriously obsessed with them i cannot even explain. And the patent material always seems to make them look new.
2: This next look was date night. Again with the red lip (NARS-heat wave), curly, sexy hair. H&M Blazer, J.Crew double strand necklace, sequin baguette, and black patent oxford heels.

3: Shopping look! Keeping it simple with fresh make-up, loose pulled-back hair, over-sized bag to haul your life with you, and a cropped faux fur vest. Finished the look off with uber-comfy flat brown ankle boots from Urban. I wear them to death.
4: To be completely honest, i don't even remember what this look is off the top of my head. I'd have to dig out the newspaper and look. One of my favorites, though. Yellow boho bag, long dark grey hooded cargo jacket, ridiculously awesome lace tights, and knee-high grey suede flat boots.
5: 'Meet the Parents' look:
Banana Republic statement pearl necklace, black tights, and silver ballet flats.
6: Weekend/casual look. Jean Jacket and all-American keds. Red lips add a little something extra to the laid-back look

7: School outfit! Looking scholarly with a tan button-up underneath dress, with a Blair Waldorf-approved rosette and black ribbon headband via J.Crew, and green leather driving mocs also courtesy of J.Crew
Nothing horribly inspired, but overall i think they were good looks to show to a high school audience.

  2. The looks you pulled are really great if you hadn't of told me I wouldn't of known you were wearing the same little black dress. I loved the last look with the white inner underneath. Hopefully this will inspire some of the teenage audience to wear a little more than just skinny jeans and rock t-shirts.
